Untitled Poem. Author Unknown.
I feel very alone. I can disappear off the face of the
earth. No one would notice. No one would care. But such a movement is
calculated. An act that will ensure people miss me. An object less
specific, like a quilt without a pattern. An object more crazy. Sewing
cloth without knowing what it is I want to make. I hate feeling
abandoned. It rejects me. I cannot accuse anyone of such an act. It is
how I feel. I retaliate. I scream. I abandon. I disappear off the face
of the earth.
I should be so lucky. Punishment is to remain with these feelings welling
inside me. So be thankful you don't feel this way. If you do, we will
walk together into the valley of nothing and await our next rising.
